Is there a risk of cracking the brick or mortar?
With the wrong tools, yes. We use high-quality masonry bits and rotary hammers (not just hammer drills) that drill cleanly without causing micro-fractures. We start with a pilot hole. We know what we're doing.
Is a brick wall mount as secure as a standard wall?
It's more secure. A proper masonry anchor in solid brick or concrete has a shear strength of thousands of pounds. It's the most secure surface in your entire house.
What if I want to move the TV later? Will there be huge holes?
There will be small, clean holes from the anchors. For an additional fee, we can professionally patch them with matching mortar or concrete patch so they become nearly invisible.
